It's kind of a in between time right now. Um, we're here to discuss the McCart McFersonson roadway construction project. Thank you all for joining. Um so let's go ahead and get started. I'll go to the next slide. Um I'm not sure if Council Member Hall or any of their staff are here, but if so, um feel free to introduce yourselves. Say hi to everyone. So, for the agenda for this evening, um we're going to go over the current conditions of the um roadway or lack thereof um at the product site. We're going to go through the product objective, the improvements, 5 00:01:42.479 --> 00:01:58.719 cost, schedule, and then last the funding. So, currently what's out there today, um, there's a two-lane roadway on McCart from Valley Bin Drive to Cayman Drive. And then I'm sorry, I don't know that 6 00:01:58.719 --> 00:02:13.760 that's right. Yeah, I think that's right. Um, and then, sorry, and then there's a two-lane roadway on McFersonson, and that's from West Cleburn to east of Mlan Farm Drive. Um, the rest of this project will be new construction. Um, it's pretty much 7 00:02:13.760 --> 00:02:30.080 undeveloped land there. Um yeah, so we'll get into um what it looks like today. As you can see um we've got McCart um towards the north side and then Rising Road McFerson and we'll be expanding McCart and McFerson. 8 00:02:30.080 --> 00:02:45.519 So the main project objectives for this project are to increase safety and improve connectivity by adding this corridor um for the city. And then here is an overview of the proposed improvements for this project. 9 00:02:45.519 --> 00:03:00.480 Um, as you can see, we've got um expanding McCart from Rising Road all the way down to Twin Leaf on the south and expanding McCart McFerson or sorry, McFerson Drive, McFerson, whatever to um 10 00:03:00.480 --> 00:03:16.800 from West Clevern to McCart. Um and then here are a couple snapshots from the plans of the typical sections for this project. Um mostly McCart will be from the north side of the project down to 11 00:03:16.800 --> 00:03:32.959 McFerson will be a two-lane divided roadway with median um cutouts for left turns. And then from McFersonson all the way down to Twin Leaf, it will be a two-lane roadway with um continuous two-way left turn lanes. 12 00:03:32.959 --> 00:03:48.560 And then on McFersonson, um it'll be a divided roadway just like McCart um on the north side of the project. Um two lanes on each side with a left turn lane um going on to uh Cleburn. 13 00:03:48.560 --> 00:04:05.920 So here is a bit of a zoomed in version for the proposed improvements um on McCart. And this is the segment from Risinger all the way to North Crowley Clevern. As you can see, we're going to be doing, like I said, a four-lane divided highway or roadway um with 14 00:04:05.920 --> 00:04:21.840 median cutouts, and those will be at Aruba Lane and Cayman Drive. Um and then on the south side of this image, obviously, we're going to have a roundabout um connecting the cart to North Crowley Clever Road. And then here's a zoomed in version just 15 00:04:21.840 --> 00:04:39.040 of those um median cutouts. Like I said, they're going to be for Cayman Drive and Aruba Lane. And then here's a zoom in of the um roundabout at North Carly Cleburn. Um as for the proposed improvements for the rest of the project, we're going to 16 00:04:39.040 --> 00:04:56.400 get into some of the other segments. Um as an overview of this part, um we have another roundabout being proposed and three bridges o um over bodies of water. Um yeah, so this first section is North Carley Cleburn. Well, McCart from North 17 00:04:56.400 --> 00:05:10.960 Carolina Carly Clevern to McFersonson Boulevard. Um, as you can see, like I said for the previous segment, um, this is going to be a four-lane divided and it'll go in directly to the roundabout. The next segment we'll talk about is 18 00:05:10.960 --> 00:05:27.680 McFersonson Boulevard from um, Crowley Cleburn, I think, to McCart. Um, and it'll be a four-lane divided as well. You can see the bridge highlighted in orange right there on the screen. And that'll be going over um a body of water. 19 00:05:27.680 --> 00:05:42.960 And then going to the south limits of the project from McFerson all the way to Twin Leaf. It'll be mostly a um a two-way two um lane roadway with uh um two 20 00:05:42.960 --> 00:06:00.880 two-way left turn lanes. And then um obviously in the north side is that same route that we saw in the previous slide for McFersonson. All right. Um getting into the project cost and schedule. Um we're going to be constructing this project for $35.4 21 00:06:00.880 --> 00:06:16.080 million. Um the total project budget um for the city for this project is 48.8 million. And then as for the project schedule, um construction is going to be starting next month in July of 2026 and will complete substantially um in July 22 00:06:16.080 --> 00:06:31.919 of 2028, giving this contract a two-year time span. Um as far as project funding sources goes, um most of this project is funded by the bond program and transportation impact fees and there are some various 23 00:06:31.919 --> 00:06:48.000 other um funding sources as well. So, so the master thoroughare plan takes into account um anticipated volumes for the ultimate buildout of that section and it didn't warrant four lanes. So, it's going to be a two-lane section with a two-way left turn lane. 40 00:11:30.880 --> 00:11:45.600 Is there any anticipation how long after the completion of this that they would turn into a fourlane? >> At at this time it's not anticipated to be a four a fourlane um at all. So if you have a green uh green field or pasture that's going to be say a single family subdivision that is taken into account the density of the homes that are going to be built there if it's a thousand homes what have you and that is 43 00:12:18.000 --> 00:12:36.079 taken into account to predict what the uh number of lanes are going to be needed on every road. So based on the masterfair plan only two lanes are needed. >> Yeah.
